Oral Hygiene &
Dental Check-ups
Our team understands the importance of a good oral hygiene routine, and we want to show your kids its importance as well. We recommend biannual check-ups for all patients, but with pediatrics, we take special care to explain the benefits of good hygiene habits; brushing twice a day, flossing, and taking care of your teeth can help prevent issues in the future.
Periodontics
Periodontics is the study of gum diseases and infection. During your routine checkup, one of our expert dentists will complete a periodontal examination, searching for signs of gum disease or inflammation. These types of infections can lead to significant discomfort and serious health risks. Fortunately, by coming in for regular check-ups we’ll be able to identify signs early on to treat the issue right away.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth are usually the last set of teeth to erupt and are the furthest back molars in the mouth. It’s very common for their arrival to impact other teeth in a variety of harmful ways. Dr. Ketron can safely remove the teeth if needed to prevent any serious problems from developing. Typically, teenagers will be the primary patients in need of this procedure.
Root Canal Therapy & Tooth Extraction
When a tooth becomes infected, it can spread into the roots of a tooth if left untreated. This poses a significant risk to your oral health and can have lasting effects on your overall health as well. If a root infection occurs, we can perform root canal therapy. This is a surgical procedure that can be completed in one to two sessions depending on the level of infection.
Unfortunately, sometimes a tooth has become so infected or damaged that the only remaining option is extraction. The procedure can be very similar to that of wisdom teeth removal. Under the care of our professional dentists, the experience is relatively painless and recovery can be quick. If this situation arises, we may suggest a tooth-replacement option such as a dental implant.
